    Key Account Manager

    Position Overview:

    The successful candidate will provide animal feed solutions to farmers and feed miller’s .The KAM will map the feed industry, identify potential clients, develop relationships and deliver nutritional solutions, resulting in the sale of feed inputs Premixes, Base mixes, Ingredients and additives.

    The role requires interfacing with commercial management, product management as well as other functional areas within the organization in order to service and expand offerings with customers and build new business in the Kenyan Market

    Responsibilities

    Commercial:

    • Creates and develops relationships with key and targeted accounts and execute the commercial strategy.
    • Develop and drive a business development strategy that is designed to sell CPN solutions to key targeted farmers and animal feed mills, providing customers with specialized and technical nutritional knowledge, working in close collaboration with Provimi’s feed formulation support teams.
    • Responsible for introducing new products, concepts and R&D results to key accounts and prospects
    • Responsible for involving specific (technical) resources from local and EMEA technical sales support teams through communicating developments and solutions to the targeted customers through regular customer visits and industry focused seminars
    • Lead the strategic growth plan towards selected customers and prospects.
    • Support supply chain efficiency by setting up distribution channels and assisting with logistics and product registrations at Kebs.
    • Administration/forecasting of sales volumes/gross margins, new business development programs and key account plans

    Manage day to day operation:

    • Manages and suggests ways to improve current commercial approach and practices.
    • Supports in the preparation and evaluation of commercial growth proposals when required.
    • Be responsible for the administration/forecasting of weekly sales volumes/gross margin reports, monthly business development reviews and maintaining detailed and targeted and key account plans.

    Experience:

    • Minimum 4 years of progressive sales/technical experience in animal feed / animal production sector in Kenya
    • Proven track record of delivering business growth
    • Preferably successful Key Account Management experience
