Human Resources Manager at Mombasa Island Cargo Terminal (MICT)

Qualifications and Experience

• Higher diploma in Human Resource Management
• Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in business studies and a legal background would be an added advantage
• 5 years’ experience in a Human Resource Department
• Must be a member of IHRM with a practicing certificate
• Good understanding of the Labour Laws
• Knowledge of Human Resource Information System
• Experience in Industrial Relations
• Knowledge in Quality. Health, Safety. Security & Environment
• Must be Computer literate
• Must have good communication and organization skills

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives in line with the Company’s goals.
• Review and manage effective recruitment strategies
• Assist in administration of HR Policies, addressing of staff grievances and handling of disciplinary issues
• Develop and implement sustainable training and development plans
• Manage payroll and related statutory compliance matters
• Maintain and compile HR reports and employee data
• Oversee the entire administration function, including office security, office equipment & facilities and office supplies
• Develop a list of prequalified suppliers of goods and services
• Prepare Human Resource and Administration budget
