Working collaboratively with the Heads of each school to assure that the programs of both schools are consistent with the vision, mission, and guiding principles of the our client’s schools, including but not limited to:
Curriculum
Teaching methodologies
Teacher training
Purchasing materials
Scheduling
School policies
Interaction with parents
General atmosphere
Development of a long-range in-service plan
Overseeing the budgets of the our client’s schools
Preparation (in collaboration with Heads of each school)
Monitoring
Representing the schools
Interactions with government officials
Public functions
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required
Masters Degree in Education or related field
Experience and training in a student-centered approach to education that encourages exploration, inquiry, problem-solving, and real-world thinking skills
Experience working with primary school and/or middle school children
Experience in school administration
Collaborative leadership skills
An educator who can evaluate whether the programs of each school are succeeding
A leader who knows how to listen and respect the opinions of the Heads of each school
A coach who can help the Heads of School grow
An advocate of a progressive approach to education with the ability to communicate what that means
A person who can make hard decisions, but can communicate effectively the reasons for those decision
