    Project Coordinator

    Project Coordinator Job Duties and Responsibilities

    • Provide general leadership in the management of the Electoral Risk Management project;
    • Conduct quality control and analysis on all data generated in the Electoral Risk Management project;
    • Operational responsibilities;
    • Assist Manager Risk and Compliance in the design, planning and implementation of the project activities;
    • Provide Tool generated analytical reports and progress reports on electoral risk for use by the Commission decision makers;
    • Prepare the contractual documents in consultation with Commission staff relating to activities undertaken within the tool implementation exercise;
    • Assist recruitment and contracting of individuals and organizations engaged in the implementation of project related activities;
    • Conduct verification on accuracy of the project data and reports;
    • Actively integrate the inclusion of a gender perspective in all project related activities and present or represent the elections and conflict project when required to do so;
    • Provide the Manager Risk and Compliance with reports on emergence of electoral risks; and
    • Capacity building for Commission staff and partners on Electoral Risk Management, peace building and conflict management.

    Requirements for the Project Coordinator Job

    • Bachelor’s degree in Peace studies, Public Administration and Management, Development Studies,
    • International Relations or any other relevant field from a recognized institution;
    • Any relevant professional qualification in Risk or Conflict Management;
    • Project Management skills;
    • Disaster Management skills;
    • Communication and Report writing skills;
    • Proposal writing skills;
    • Computer literacy; and
    • 6 years of service in a comparable position from a reputable organization.
    • In addition to the qualifications set above, the applicants must further meet and get the following clearances:
    • Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).
    • Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
    • Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA).
    • Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
    • Chief Executive Officer, Higher Education Loans Board.
    • Professional bodies (where applicable) to which the applicant belongs eg LSK, ICPAK, AAK, IEK etc.
    • Credit Reference Bureau Africa Ltd or Metropol Credit Reference Bureau.
