Job Purpose
The job holder is responsible for coordination of the printing, bindery and pre-press sections of the production department to ensure optimum utilisation of resources for optimum print productivity.
Duties and Responsibilities
i. Review and determine competitive cost estimates for customers on cost of production;
ii. Allocate work orders as they will apply in each production unit;
iii. Coordinate production activities for optimal utilisation of staff and equipment;
iv. Monitor production processes for quality control to limit waste and spoilage;
v. Analyse and prepare reports on quality control problems;
vi. Coordinate preventive maintenance of all machines;
vii. Supervise and mentor sectional staff for improved performance;
JOB SPECIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCIES)
i. Bachelor’s Degree in Printing Technology or Bachelor of Philosophy in Printing or its equivalent.
ii. Master’s Degree is an added advantage;
iii. Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience with at least 4 years at senior management/leadership position;
