    Receptionist / HR Assistant

    Job Details

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: Answer incoming calls to company, announce visitors’ presence and arrange for escort into the boardroom, basic Human Resources administrative duties.

    MAJOR DUTIES:

    • PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: Answer incoming calls to company, announce visitors’ presence and arrange for escort, basic Human Resources administrative duties.

    MAJOR DUTIES:

    • Receive phone calls in a timely manner and contact company personnel requested by caller.
    • Receive and register visitors, distribute required badges, announce their presence and arrange for an escort (per defense requirements)
    • May accept and sign for certified, registered and special delivery mail.
    • Coordinate employee sponsored activities, company meetings and customer visits.
    • Maintain the lobby in an orderly manner.
    • Coordinate conference room scheduling and conference calls as necessary.
    • Perform various administrative, clerical, and statistical assignments as related to Human Resources (including, but not limited to checking references on new applicants, assisting in orientation of new employees, maintaining time logs, tracking employee vacation hours, and updating and maintaining job descriptions.)
    • Must assist with payroll preparation, balancing, and review at various locations.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    EDUCATION PREFERRED/SPECIAL NOTES:

    • High School Diploma.

    EXPERIENCE PREFERRED/SPECIAL NOTES:

    • Proficiency in a Microsoft Windows environment with an emphasis in Excel, Word and database management.
    • Professionalism required on switchboard
    • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
    • Effective oral and written communication skills

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • May require extended hours of sitting/computer usage.
