    Lecturers - 3 positions

    Lecurers are needed in the following capacities:

    Lecturer - School Of Computer Sciences

    Lecturer - School Of Hospitality

    Lecturer - School Of Journalism And Mass Media

    Job Details

    1. Carry out research and prepare up-to-date learning materials
    2. Prepare course outlines for all the units allocated and issue to students within the first week of the semester
    3. Teach the units allocated by the head of department and as reviewed from time to time
    4. Evaluate the outcomes of individual learning through formal assessments or informal methods and ensure feedback is given within the set time frame
    5. Maintain records of CATs and examination results
    6. Ensure the subject course outline is sufficiently covered within the stipulated time period
    7. Participate in the development, moderation, administration and marking of exams and other assessments  
    8. Strive to attain a minimum pass rate of 75% in external examinations in all units that you teach.
    9. Assist the Course Coordinator in organizing academic tours
    10. Participate actively in all departmental academic activities including academic tours, among others
    11. Prepare and present regularly all the professional documents as required by the academic policy
    12. Attend and participate in departmental meetings and extra-curricular activities organized by the college
    13. Ensure that the class attendance register is completed after every session, then identify and handle chronic absenteeism cases
    14. Assist the head of department in ensuring that all students in your class have paid their fees.
    15. Liaise with the head of department and ensure your students are informed of examination fees and booking dates.
    16. Ensure students conduct themselves properly in class including orderly sitting arrangement, the dressing code, and enforce ban on use of mobile phones in class
    17. Any other duty that may be allocated to you by your supervisors from time to time.
     
    Qualification
    A bachelors degree in relevant discipline.
     
    Experience
    At least 2 years teaching experience in a College environment.
