    Information Systems Auditors

    Job Purpose

    The Bank is seeking highly motivated individuals to serve as IS Auditors in a number of departments. The job entails assessing reliability and integrity of financial and core banking systems; robustness of payment and settlement systems and conduct of ICT system audits.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    Successful applicants will, depending on the department (functional area) one is posted, perform some or all of the following roles:
    1. Examine banking systems and applications and highlight major risks & Issues.
    2. Carry out on-site ICT system audit and track and update the ICT system risk profile of banks and non-banks.
    3. Perform application control reviews for payment and settlement systems and conduct reviews that include system development standards; operating procedures system security; communication controls; disaster recovery and system maintenance.
    4. Apply professional auditing principles and standards and evaluate internal controls risk management and governance processes.

    Qualification and Experience

    1. Minimum: Upper Second Class Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or ICT related field.
    2. In addition, one should possess professional qualifications in information systems such CISA, CISM, CGEIT, CRISC.
    3. One to two years of relevant working experience in an audit firm; ICT firm or financial institution
    4. Possession of qualifications such as CIA, CPA or ACCA etc is an added advantage

    Competencies

    1. Knowledge of financial systems particularly in the banking sector.
    2. Ability to gather data, compile information and prepare reports.
    3. Demonstrate deep understanding of the internal audit process, controls, procedures and investigation techniques.
    4. Knowledge of current technological developments/trends in area of expertise;
    5. Experience in the use of an audit management software such as Teammate.
    6. Knowledge in the use of Computer Aided Audit Tools (CAATS) such as ACL.
    7. Ability to think strategically with creative problem solving skills
    8. Excellent communication, analytical, planning, organizational and interpersonal skills
