Veterinary Officer - 2 positions

JOB GROUP “L”

Duties and responsibilities

This will be the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a senior officer

Duties and responsibility
1. Undertaking disease control activities such as disease search, vaccination and enforcement of livestock movement regulations.
2. participating in the training of stakeholders in vector control programmes
3. Treating sick animals
4. Advising on good veterinary practices
5. collecting data and preparing reports on animal health, products and market
6. Providing advice on animal breeding and welfare.
7. undertaking postmortem examination and other diagnostics
Requirement for direct appointment
1. Be in possession of a Bachelors of veterinary medicine(BVM)Degree from a recognized institution
2. Be a registered by the Kenya veterinary board
3. Have a certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution and
