Operations Manager at Millar Cameron

Job description

A well respected established flower producer based in Kenya is searching for an Operations Manager, who would lead the post-harvest business operations. The role is based in Naivasha, and the company is one of the largest flower growers in Kenya, supplying fresh cut flowers to the international market.

The role: 

• Leading operations from post-harvest to retailers
• Running the pack-house and the supply chain
• Increasing efficiencies within the pack-house and the supply chain
• Improving performance through a variety of innovative changes
• Manage and Lead a team of over 1,000 staff across the business

The candidate will have:

• At least 5 years’ experience with lean manufacturing
• A background of either 6 sigma or Kaizen manufacturing
• Excellent leadership skills
• At least 7 years of senior management experience
• Experience with working with senior management to continuously improve a business
• A degree in a relevant subject
• Experience of working internationally
