    Sales & Marketing Manager

    REPORTS TO: Directors

    Plan and direct the organization’s activities to achieve agreed sales and marketing targets and standards for business performance.

    Roles for the Sales & Marketing Manager Job

    Establish a Sales and Marketing plan in line with company Strategic and Operating plan

    • Develop a Sales and Marketing strategy to enhance company growth and development
    • Prepare and submit for approval to management a marketing budget relevant to our level of business and planned growth based on a marketing plan outlining effective advertising, publicity and promotion strategy.
    • Plan, organize and schedule marketing activities to meet the set company’s goals and objectives

    Grow the business revenue and profitability in line with company Strategic and Operating plan

    • Lead in the development, implementation and maintenance of the company’s Sales and Marketing strategies that contribute to and enhance achievement of the Company’s revenue growth and profitability.
    • Coordinate market research and price sensitivity studies to obtain and analyze information on customer needs/ wants, market segmentation, target markets, perception of our products, competition, market share and market potential.
    • Use market research and in making decisions on marketing, pricing of products.
    • Obtain and share regular market intelligence e.g. prices, market share e.t.c.

    Promote business growth by managing our customer relations

    • Build and maintain strong and lasting business relationships with customers
    • Manage an up to date customer data base
    • Conduct customer satisfaction surveys for improved product and service delivery
    • Ensure that customer complaints are investigated and resolved on a timely basis
    • Effectively represent company interests in various forums relevant to its business

    Build and manage the sales team to achieve projected sales targets

    • Ensure an effective sales force that is well directed in their duties, have clear individual sales goals and facilitate provision of adequate support and training for competence development
    • Lead a team of sales to maximize on all sales opportunities, and to proactively create new markets and achieve the set sales targets and business KPIs
    • Maintain sound systems to manage the business sales pipeline process and tracking in order to measure success rate in conversion

    Generate reports to management to be able to monitor daily, weekly and monthly sales progress

    • Lead in collating and providing insightful market intelligence and research relating to competition, carrying out high level SWOT analysis of company market environment and tipping management on opportunities available and approaches to adopt in efforts to maintain a competitive edge
    • Prepare and compile daily, weekly, monthly & quarterly management reports on products quality, pricing, market share, market potential, sales volumes, customer service and customer complains management

    Sales & Marketing Manager Job Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • 5 years’ experience in Sales and Marketing. Preferably gained from working in a dairy company
    • Proficiency in Microsoft office suite. Proficiency in Sage evolution is an added advantage
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet targets within deadline
    • Strong leadership and management skills
    • A team player
    • Valid driving license
