    Catering & Accommodation Instructor

    The position is responsible for the catering and Accommodation department in the BOH vocational Training College.

    The successful candidate will be able to manage students in the accommodation unit and Support subjects course upholding BOH values and standard’s for optimum development of students.

    Catering & Accommodation Instructor Job Responsibilities

    • Assist the VTC principal in outlining tools and other requirements for effective teaching and carry out needs assessment.
    • Provide technical assistance to all college students in maintance of Hygiene and housekeeping management.
    • Plan and implement instructional activities for the students as per the syllabus to ensure active and meaningful learning experience
    • Preparing and maintain teacher professional records not limited to schemes of work, lesson plans, lesson notes, record of work covered and other records
    • Maintain current students’ attendance records and make them readily available to the supervisor
    • Preparing and using learning aids to deliver the prescribed curriculum.
    • Assess and evaluate students continuously as per the training program requirements and maintain students’ progress records.
    • Provide feedback to Principal on pupil’s progress during education forums and report forms
    • Responsible for the Registration and conduction of National Examinations for his Learners.
    • Set assignments regularly and mark them promptly, and follow –up with students suggestions for further appropriate improvements in learning.
    • Observe and evaluate individual student’s performance and behavior.
    • Supervise and control use of material and resources.
    • Ensure that students understand and follow the college rules and regulations in order to maintain high level of discipline.
    • Provide guidance and counseling to students to nurture development including spiritual care and make referrals where considered necessary.
    • Carry out any other duties and tasks assigned by the management from time to time.
    • Undertake any other assignment as may be directed by the senior management.

    Requirements for the Catering & Accommodation Instructor Job

    • A Higher National Diploma in catering and Accommodation Management or a related field from a Technical recognised institution.
    • Very good analytical and financial skills
    • Strong leadership capabilities and a strong team spirit
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Strong analytical, communication, dynamic thinking skills and result oriented.
    • Must have good interpersonal relation and team orientation.
    • Must have initiative and be able to work with minimal supervision.
    • At least five (2) years’ relevant work experience in a technical college/university
