Job Description

• Conserve the County, private and community forests in the Sub-county
• Supervise forest extension services in the Sub-County
• Monitor the ecological health of county managed forests
• Rehabilitate county managed forests in the sub-county
• Undertake tree planting and tree growing in the sub-county
• Maintain data on sub-county forest/tree cover
• Manage forest boundaries for county and community forests in the Sub-County
• Identify and keep records of charcoal producers and transporters in the sub-county
• Identify and register charcoal collection centres
• Ensure compliance in the charcoal production and transportation activities in the SubCounty
• Organise sensitization and awareness creation meetings for forest related activities in the sub-county
• Support communities to establish nature-based entrepreneurs

Qualifications

• To qualify for appointment one should;
• Hold a Bachelors Degree in Forestry, Environmental studies, Ecological studies,Agricultural Education or Agricultural Extension.
• have good public relations and computer proficiency
