You Will Ideally

• Establish and maintain a good working relationship with all Front Office colleagues and other departments such as Housekeeping, Room Service,
• Engineering, Sales, etc. to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
• To be completely familiar and adhere with the hotel procedures, policies and Service Standards related to guest service.
• To be completely aware of the brand and marketing programmes and to be familiar with InterContinental Nairobi product knowledge.
• To be fully aware of Fire Safety procedures and evacuation plan.
• Performs duties with a strong understanding of how those duties impact on guests and colleagues.
• To ensure correct application of room rates and correct postings of all guest charges
• Responds to guest/colleague requests courteously and professionally, with interest, urgency and care.
• Flexibility in being open and receptive to new ways of working.
• Treats every guest interaction as an opportunity to delight the guest and make their stay in our hotel memorable.
• Resolve guest problems.
• To ensure guest safety and security at all times.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Hotel Management
• Passion, commitment, high drive, excellent team player and positive attitude
• Excellent communication skills, written and oral with proficiency in English
• Ability to work irregulars hours, late evenings and weekends when appropriate
• Computer literate - Opera, Word and Excel
• Minimum 2 year hotel experience in the same position
