Role Overview:

The Area Manager will support the Retail Head to maximize all-round performance and achieve set KPI targets through regular visits to stores within the defined area. This involves ensuring the highest retail standards are met in stores under the purview. The successful applicant will report to the Head of Retail.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Regular visits to stores within the defined area and handling;
  • Checks on various physical elements within stores to ensure stores are meeting set retail standards.
  • Store merchandise check to ensure stock is maintained as per the layouts created and meets the set standards.
  • Branch spot checks to ensure systems and controls are adhered to.
  • Staff checks to ensure minimum standards are met in various aspects including dress code, presentation, training, etc
  • Branding and visual merchandising elements to ensure the approved details are maintained and regularly updated.
  • Staff meetings to discuss performance and plans for action.
• Strategic Planning & Execution
  • Detailed reporting to the retail head detailing the branch visits and proposing plans of action for areas needing attention.
  • Action point implementation resulting out of above activities.
  • Any other checks and balances set by the management from time to time based on timely requirements.

• Education and/or Experience Bachelor’s degree management/marketing with 2+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Reasoning Ability capable of applying principles of logical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems
• Strong team Leadership capabilities
