    Human Resource Officer

    IPOA/HR/18/2018; HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER (GRADE 6) - 1 POSITION

    (CONSOLIDATED SALARY KES.90,000-130,000)

    Reporting to the Head of Human Capital, the jobholder will be responsible

    for:

    • Implementing human capital management policies and strategies;
    • Implementing recruitment, training and development, performance management and career development programs and activities;
    • Implementing compensation and reward policies and strategies as advised by management;
    • Administering employee benefits including welfare schemes, medical Insurance and retirement benefits;
    • Coordinating Employee Assistance and staff welfare Programmes;
    • Implementing Human Resource Information management system;
    • Planning and implementing Occupational Safety and Health programmes and audits;
    • Monitoring Departmental Records Management System;
    • Providing quarterly and annual reports of Human Resource activities;
    • Maintaining staff leave records;
    • Monitoring compliance with the Labour laws and related regulations on human resource management.

    Required Functional Skills

    The successful candidate will have

    • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Social Sciences;
    • Diploma in Human Resource Management;
    • Professional training on Labour laws will be an added advantage;
    • The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 3 years relevant work experience as Human Resource Officer and be a member of a recognized professional body e.g. the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM).

    Required Behavioural Skills

    • Candidates must be a person of integrity, demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and be a team player;
    • Demonstrated high ethical standards;
    • Be an effective communicator with excellent negotiations
    • Excellent knowledge of relevant computer software and applications.

    • Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA);
    • Ethics and Anti- Corruption Commission (EACC);
    • Higher Education Loans Board (HELB);
    • Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI); and
    • Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
