    Compliance Officer

    Job description

    Are you able to establish a compliance regiment across different departments within the organization? Can you ensure processes and procedures are clear and in action while implementing changes to strengthen compliance efforts? Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced startup environment?

    Momentum Credit provides working capital solutions to small businesses and individuals. The Compliance Officer will play a crucial role helping business units understand and execute in full compliance with regulatory standards, organizational policies, processes and audit outcomes.

    The successful candidate will report directly to the CEO. Momentum Credit believes in allowing its team to explore their potential and they fully support each member at each phase of their career progression towards career growth.

    Picture of Success:

    Success shall be evaluated on the progress of attaining the following goals:

    Daily

    • Conduct scheduled compliance reviews as per the monthly review plan
    • Ensures that all processes and procedures are complied with
    • Conduct post compliance review feedback and training with the requisite heads of department and key stake holders

    Weekly

    • Attend the meetings and make a meaningful contribution
    • Conduct stress tests to establish areas which require improvement
    • Prepare weekly reports of compliance reviews completed in the pre-agreed reporting template

    Monthly

    • Prepare monthly compliance review plan for approval
    • Prepares monthly compliance review reports for further action in the pre-agreed reporting template
    • Benchmark policies, processes and procedures with local and international best practice
    • Recommend updates to processes and policies from completed compliance reviews that shall help improve operational efficiency and risk management
    • Work with the requisite heads of department and key stake holders to implement any approved updates

    Quarterly

    • Reviews policies and procedures to ensure that they are in line with business changes in the previous quarter
    • Ensure the company has policies, processes and procedures for every formal business activity
    • Support the conduct of internal audit reviews from the Group
    • Make follow ups to ensure that internal audit recommendations have been acted on within the stipulated deadlines

    Minimum Requirements

    • Degree or Diploma in a relevant field
    • Minimum 2 years work experience in a relevant role
    • Strong analytical skills including excel
    • Strong time planning and multi-tasking skills
    • Highly motivated and ambitious individual with unquestionable integrity
