    Since 2006, National Taxpayers Association (NTA) has been implementing programmes focused on citizen demand for accountability through monitoring of the quality of public service delivery and the management of devolved funds. It has achieved this through the development of social accountability tools (Citizen Report Cards), civic awareness, citizen capacity-building, partnerships with government agencies, service providers, private sector, civil society and community action groups. NTA has conducted research and provided information to Kenyans through its Citizen Report Cards (CRCs), scoping studies, public forums and civic education through the media to present issues of how devolved funds are being used and their impact on development in constituencies in a user-friendly, simple, and accessible manner.

    Internship

    Details:

    Internship:Programmes and Administration

    2 Position for Programmes and 1 for Administration

    Duty station: Nairobi (Programme & Administration) and Kisumu (Programme Intern only)

    Working language: English

    Engagement: 40 hours a week

    Summary of Responsibilities: To assist NTA staff in their on-going programme and project work.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Degree in social sciences, political science, development studies, public administration or other relevant field
    • Ready to learn and work in demanding environment, collaborating with civil society organizations and international organizations.
    • Fluency in English – both written and oral communication; Good communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software (MS Word, Excel, etc.
    • Fast learner, self-driven, open to new ideas and hardworking.
    • Team working skills and ability to work independently.
