    HRMIS Specialist

    Job Description

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Information Systems and data management
      • Lead the implementation of the HR database, access for all regions, establish links between software for automation of the Centre’s activities, to design necessary queries and reports, to connect to payroll
      • Take lead in the design, implementation and maintenance of HR Modules in OCS
      • Design, develop and regularly review a reliable HR data management system
      • Manage global data inputting and updating in HRIS
      • Provides timely and accurate information as required
      • Develop guidelines on global staff list maintenance and update.
      • Design filing and archiving processes and guidelines, ensuring that all staff information is stored and backed up both in hard and soft copies
    • Data Analytics
      • Develop and implement data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and maintain quality HR database.
      • Provides management support to the Human Resource unit in the areas of people metrics, HR dash boards reporting, and advanced and predictive analytics
      • Support the Human Resource Unit to identify Organization challenges and use data analysis to help influence decision making and changes to the operations, process or programs.
      • Utilizes technology and analytical tools to develop and analyze Human Resource and other cross-functional data as needed.
      • Serves as the HRU expert for human Resource analytics.
      • Collaborates with other sub functions within HRU to promote data governance and stewardship, in overall Unit performance and insight.
      • Conduct data analysis and discovery to identify trends and correlations to uncover insights. Recommends information that should be analysed
    • Reporting
      • Complete monthly, quarterly and adhoc HR reporting and data analysis. Respond to HR data requests from HR and other functions. This includes developing queries and/or gathering data from various sources; in addition, may interpret the data to provide value added analysis.
      • Communicates findings via formal presentations, standard management reporting artifacts on
        periodic/quarterly/annual basis.
      • Creates, maintains, and ensures quality assurance of key human resources data sets, reports, and metrics.
      • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
    • Other Responsibilities
      • Continually research, test and stay up to date on all system updates and fixes.
      • Works as the key representative to the external benchmarks and key surveys supporting the HR function.
      • Perform regular audits to ensure data and system integrity.
      • Take reasonable care of own occupational health and safety and that of others as obliged by ICRAF’s Safety Policy; and cooperate with ICRAF in complying with requirements under any statutory health and safety provisions of relevant Country laws.
      • Identify and take action to mitigate potential risks within the work area.

    Requirements

    Required Qualification:

    • Master's degree in Statistics, Business Analytics, or relevant qualification.
    • 3+ years supporting HRIS systems, 5+ years of related experience.

    SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings.
    • Excellent inter-personal and communication skills.
    • Ability to coordinate and manage confidential data professionally.
    • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within Human Resources and database structures.
    • Strong skills in process mapping, and procedural documentation.
    • Experience querying data, data interpretation and report generation.
    • HRIS systems, reporting and data analytics experience.
