    Organization Development Manager

    Job description

    About the Role

    The Organization Development Manager, working under the leadership of the WWF Kenya CEO, will lead, establish and sustain an organisational development and change process for WWF Kenya. The primary responsibility will be creating and implementing change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and usage and minimize resistance. The OD Manager will work with the Senior Management Team (SMT) on the people side of the organization, ensuring that changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles and organization structures are aligned to the new status of the office.

    Detailed Responsibilities

    • Strategic
      • Establish the strategic direction and ownership for the organisational development rationale and reasons for change and support SMT (Senior Management Team) in its delivery
      • Work with the core change team of WWF Kenya staff who are responsible for leading and managing the change
      • Coach and support the internal change team and champions as appropriate
      • Engage and participate in the OD community across the WWF Network
      • Take a leading role in developing and supporting the delivery of any Partnership Agreements with WWF partner offices
    • Monitoring & Evaluation
      • Report to SMT as to the progress of the implementation of the change strategy plan and process.
      • Work with the relevant teams to develop and oversee the implementation of the appropriate Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning process for the Change process
      • Ensure accountability reporting processes including financial and technical reporting are in place for the Kenya SMT (Senior Management Team) and the wider WWF Network
    • Communication
      • Develop the engagement plan for communicating – and engaging affected staff so they are, and feel, involved in the process
      • Develop clear, memorable messages linking the rationale/reason for change, the value of staff, and how colleagues will be enabled to deliver the strategy
      • Regularly assess the “temperature” of the organisation throughout the process and provide feedback to the CEO, the SMT (Senior Management Team) and the internal change team

    Does This Sound Like You?

    • At least 5 years relevant experience
    • You are excellent at influencing and have great interpersonal skills to interact with people at all levels, internally and externally
    • You have strong written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills
    • You have strong coaching/mentoring skills
    • You have effective planning and project management skills with the ability to set and work to both personal and team deadlines
    • You have the ability to engage, conduct diagnosis, analyze findings, generate options and build commitment to solutions
    • You have great change management skills
