    Trans Nzoia County is among the 47 counties established by the Kenya Constitution under article 6(1) and specified in the First Schedule. Article 176 (1) establishes a county government for each county consisting of the county assembly and the county executive. The Trans Nzoia county government was operationalized in March 2013 after the country’s general election with H.E Hon. Patrick Simiyu Khaemba as the first popularly elected Governor.

    Assistant Director Enforcement

    Job Description

    • Policy making;
    • Ensuring that staff have uniforms and the necessary tools of work;
    • Ensuring that the drills and parade matters are coordinated;
    • Coordinate implementation of county laws and other relevant acts;
    • Overseeing regular patrols in the parking areas to ensure order in market and other business premises;
    • Performing the duties of traffic marshal;
    • Overseeing cleanliness and orderliness of station of duty;
    • Receiving and scrutinizing charge sheets from investigation officer;
    • Giving evidence in court where county has interest in traffic matters;
    • Checking in insurance and facilitating the insurance of the county vehicle, Handling drill and parade matters.

    Qualifications

    For appointment of these grade, an officer must have:-

    • Served in the grade of chief enforcement officer or in a comparable and relevant position in the public service for a minimum period of three (3) years;
    • Bachelor’s degree in the following disciplines:-security management, Criminology and fraud management, Criminology and security studies Penology or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
    • Master’s degree in Security Management and Police Studies, security management;
    • Criminology and fraud management;
    • Criminology and security studies, and penology or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
    • Certificate in strategic leadership courses lasting not less than four(4) weeks from a recognized institution;
    • Physical fitness as applicable to the Kenyan Police Service plus a fitness medical certificate from a recognized institution;
    • Certificate of Good Conduct from the Director of Criminal Investigation
    • Certificate in computer application;
    • Demonstrate merit and shown ability as reflected work performance and result.

    • Kenya Revenue Authority.
    • Higher Education Loans Board.
    • Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission.
    • Criminal Investigation Department.

    NOTE: Copies of these certificates MUST be attached to the applications.
