Location: Nairobi, Kenya with frequent travel to the field.

JOB PURPOSE

SPARD Africa presents an opportunity for an experienced and dependable Truck Driver to join our team. The Truck Driver will be responsible for safely and efficiently driving a large commercial vehicle long distances for extended hours to deliver cargo. The ideal candidate should have their Commercial Driver’s License and has previous experience operating and driving trucks. The Truck Driver will also be responsible for tracking mileage, documenting schedules, inventory delivery confirmation, manifests, safe and timely delivery of goods to our clients, as well as working with our team in order to plan routes and track deliveries.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Driving and maintaining the company truck.
• Plan routes and meets delivery schedules.
• Completing all required documentation before departure and after arrival.
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures.
• Report defects, accidents or violations.
• Customer service and ensuring proper communication.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven work experience as a truck driver.
• Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly.
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
• A valid accident free driving license.
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations.
• Good communication skills.
• Good time management skills.
