Software Engineering Lead - Africa Development Center at Microsoft

Are you passionate about building cutting edge web application? We are building a web based UX for Remote Administration. This will run from inbox, on Microsoft Azure, and on Amazon Web Service. As a candidate for this role, you must be passionate about UX design and development. You must be experienced in delivering large scale web based UI solutions.

Responsibilities

• This person will lead a team that will be involved in design, development and operational aspect of WAC, Azure Host OS Deployment, Servicing and DRI.
• Co-ordinate with the PMs and software engineering leads for the project assignment, execution and delivery.
• Responsible for design and development of different features of WAC, Host OS Deployment and Servicing platforms.
• Be involved in coding, code review, solving complex technical problems.
• Performance management of software engineers that are reporting to the lead.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or related field
• 7 to 10 years of experience in developing software at the system level.
• 7 to 10 years of experience in managing a large software engineering team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication (in English) skills.
• Design and development of complex software systems.
• Design and development of distributed systems.
• Excellent hands on problem-solving skills using C++/C#/Java.
• Excellent understanding and practical experience in application security involving distributed systems.
