Job description

We are looking for a JavaScript developer (Angular / React.js) responsible for the client side of our service. Your primary focus will be to implement a complete user interface in the form of a mobile and desktop web app, with a focus on performance. Your main duties will include creating modules and components and coupling them together into a functional app. You will ensure that these components and the overall application are robust and easy to maintain. thorough understanding of all of the components of our platform and infrastructure is required.

Responsibilities

• Review designs created by web designers; ask any necessary clarifying questions before starting on work and ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
• Write code to implement those visual elements into various web applications
• Create prototypes, mockups, and staging sites for review and feedback
• Optimize websites and applications for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browser
• Maintain websites and implement any necessary additions or enhancements
• Identify and troubleshoot various website issues and bugs
• Writing tested, idiomatic, and documented JavaScript, HTML and CSS
• Cooperating with the back-end developer in the process of building the wapipay API and communication with external web services
• reusable components and front-end libraries for future use
• Maintain updated knowledge of the development industry and any advancements in technology
• Document the code and other any other tasks.

Skills and qualifications

• Knowledge of SPA frameworks and modern build tools (webpack/gulp)
• Proficient understanding of web mark up, including HTML5, CSS3
• Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
• Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery
• Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as {{Git / Mercurial / SVN}}
• Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that the application will adhere to them.
• Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
• Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image. Familiarity with tools such as Gimp or Photoshop is a plus.
