    Regional Head of Performance and Insight - Sub Saharan Africa (SSA)

    THE OPPORTUNITY

    This opportunity offers a chance to work as part of the SSA Regional Marketing Directorate which plays an essential role in making a positive contribution to the UK and the communities where we work across the 19 dynamic and diverse countries in SSA. The successful post holder will lead the commissioning and oversight of market insight and analytics activities, to provide a deeper understanding of customers, markets and competitors in order to drive more effective marketing and communications activity. To join this high functioning team, we are looking for candidates who are adaptive, innovative and prepared to think differently in order to drive value and demonstrate high levels of expertise. The 19 countries in Sub Saharan Africa are Botswana, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Sudan, South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

    ROLE PURPOSE

    To assess market insight and analytics needs at a regional level and provide expert advice to teams, clusters and countries across SSA. This role will also define and develop key global data collection standards, processes and templates and manage the tracking and collation of marketing performance information. The Regional Head of Performance & Insight will be responsible for building an in-depth understanding of the particular operational context, opportunities and challenges for market insight and analytics activities at the regional level.

    In this role, key areas of focus will include:

    • Communications strategy, planning and delivery
    • Consultancy, analysis & problem-solving
    • Internal customer focus
    • Commercial & financial management
    • Relationship & stakeholder management
    • Leadership & management

    To be considered for this role, core requirements include:

    • At least five years’ experience in managing communications within a large and complex organisation
    • Demonstrable experience in providing expert advice and guidance on market insight and analytics
    • Demonstrable experience in coaching managers to use market insights and analytics to improve business performance
    • Experience of working in a global organisation
