    Agricultural Engineer II -Workshop Manager (AMS)

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Day to day running of the workshop
    • Management of machinery, transport and equipment repair
    • Management of workshop safety, cleanliness
    • Safe custody of all spares and other resources in the workshop
    • Supervision and guidance on repairs servicing and maintenance to ensure quality work and timely completion of the same
    • Timely ordering of spare parts and materials
    • Maintenance of records on acquisition, utilization and making weekly reports to the station manager
    • Participating in field days, open days, exhibition and shows
    • Capacity building and backstopping
    • Any other duties assigned by the Station Manager. 

    Requirements for Appointment

    • Must be in possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in a field of Agricultural Engineering or any other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
    • Must be registered as a graduate Engineer with Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK)
    • Master’s degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage
    • Must be in possession of current certificate of good standing from Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK)
    • Having at least 1-year experience in a busy agricultural engineering workshop will be an added advantage
    • Certification in CAD applications.

    Method of Application

    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

    All applicants are expected to present the following additional documents during interviews for purpose of complying with the provision of Chapter Six of the Constitution

    • Tax compliance certificates
    • Clearance from HELB where necessary
    • Clearance from the Ethics and anti- corruption commission
    • Clearance from the CRB.
    • Certificate of Good Conduct from the police
