Remuneration         :   On Salary – Ksh.360,000/- 380,000/- GROSS

 Main Purpose of the Job

To manage patients requiring medical/surgical care in preventive and curative women’s medicine by being an active member of the exciting and inspiring value-led Obstetrics and Gynecology team.

RESPONSIBILITY

Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:-

•  Reviewing patients and instructing in writing all the recommendation;
•  undertaking “first-on-call” duties including clerking investigating, and managing patient; conducting weekly clinic and theatre days;
• Managing health facilities at various tiers in communities;
•  responding to intern call; training, supervising and mentoring medical officers (intern) and other student;
•  performing emergency surgeries, undertaking medical examinations and preparing medical board proceedings;
•  carrying out community diagnosis, care and treatment;
• Ensuring data and information is collected, transmitted and utilized to benefit the customer and service provider; and
•  Conducting disease surveillance; prevention and control; carrying out health education and promotion; and preparing medical reports.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience
• A Bachelor of medicine and Surgery (M.BCH.B) degree in Medicine from a university recognized in Kenya.
• A Master’s degree in the relevant specialization.
• Registered with the Kenya Medical and Dentist Board.
• Must have a current certificate from Medical practitioner and Dentist Board.
• Should be proficient in computer skills.
• Have capacity to multitask within strict timelines.
• Demonstrate professional competence and managerial capability as reflected in work performance and results.
