Certificate lasting not less than two (2) years in any of the following disciplines: - Animal Health, Animal Health and Production, from a recognized institution.

Professional Qualifications / Membership to professional bodies

• Professional registration and retention with Kenya Veterinary Board.
• Certificate in Computer application skills

Previous relevant work experience required.

Job Description

Job Purpose

Responsible for  animal health, control, welfare and veterinary extension services at ward level under the guidance and supervision of veterinary surgeon.

Operational Responsibilities / Tasks

• Carry out simple treatment of animals
• Participate in disease search and reporting
• Demonstrate on external parasite control techniques such as dipping, spraying and dusting
• Carry out vaccination: and undertaking closed castration, dehorning, de-worming, disbudding, docking, debeaking and hoof trimming.
• Issuance of movement permits
