    Area Sales Supervisor, Kenya

    The Role

    • The Area Sales Supervisor is responsible for leading and managing a team of field sales agents across an assigned territory. This is a highly field-oriented role focused on driving customer acquisition through direct engagement with riders at boda boda stages, transport hubs, trading centres, and other high-potential locations. The Area Sales Supervisor ensures agents are effectively deployed, coached, and managed to consistently generate leads, convert customers, and achieve territory sales targets while building Zeno's presence and reputation within the local rider community.

    What You’ll Do:

    Lead and Manage Field Sales Agents

    • Directly supervise, coach, and motivate a team of field sales agents across the assigned territory.
    • Set clear daily, weekly, and monthly activity expectations for agents and hold them accountable for results.
    • Conduct regular field visits, ride-alongs, and stage visits to provide hands-on coaching and performance feedback.
    • Support the recruitment, onboarding, and development of high-performing sales agents.

    Drive Field-Based Customer Acquisition

    • Ensure agents consistently originate new customer leads through field prospecting activities.
    • Drive agent engagement at boda boda stages, trading centres, transport hubs, and other high-potential rider locations.
    • Monitor lead generation, customer engagement, and sales conversion to ensure sales targets are achieved.
    • Identify and replicate successful field sales practices across the team.

    Own Territory Performance and Coverage

    • Manage overall sales execution and agent deployment across the assigned territory.
    • Ensure all key rider catchment areas, stages, and target locations are covered effectively by the field team.
    • Identify underserved areas and growth opportunities to expand Zeno's customer base.
    • Monitor competitor activity and market dynamics and adjust field strategies accordingly.

    Build Strong Relationships with the Rider Community

    • Support Agents in developing strong relationships with riders, stage leaders, SACCOs, and local influencers.
    • Ensure Zeno maintains a visible and active presence in the communities where target customers operate.
    • Support local activations, demonstrations, and customer engagement initiatives that generate leads and build trust.

    Reporting, Discipline, and Execution Excellence

    • Monitor agent attendance, field activity, and adherence to sales processes.
    • Maintain accurate reporting on team activities, lead generation, and sales performance.
    • Ensure agents follow company policies and represent the Zeno brand professionally at all times.
    • Work closely with credit, operations, and service teams to support customer onboarding and successful sales conversion.

    What You Bring:

    • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field;
    • 3–5 years of experience in field sales, distribution, or commercial operations, including at least 2 years managing or supervising field sales teams.
    • Experience in FMCG, telecommunications, financial services, retail distribution, or other high-volume sales organizations.
    • A proven track record of achieving sales targets and improving team performance in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other sales reporting tools, with strong attention to detail.
    • Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to motivate and develop field-based sales teams.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive performance.
