Assistant Director Enforcement at Turkana County Government

REF: TUR/CPSB/030/2022/2023; ASSISTANT DIRECTOR ENFORCEMENT, JOB GROUP “P” POSITION: ONE (1)
Duties and Responsibilities:-

• Conduct all internal investigations and liaise with National Investigation Agencies for referral;
• Investigate, collate, correlate, evaluate, interpret, disseminate and store information which is relevant to the performance of the County Government;
• Detect and investigate all suspected fraudulent transactions within the County Government of Turkana
• Take steps to protect the security interests of the county whether social, economic or political;
• Liaise with National Security Agencies and other security agencies in the county;
• Safeguard information systems and processes within the county departments
• Support and aid law enforcement agencies in detecting and preventing serious crimes and other threats to the county government;
• Make recommendations to the security and enforcement on policies concerning security at the county;
• Perform any other duties and tasks that might be assigned

For appointment to this position an officer must have; -

• Must be a Citizen Kenyan
• Served in a comparable and relevant position in the Public Service or Private Sector for a minimum period of nine (9) years;
• Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines:-Security Management, Criminology and Fraud Management, Criminology and Security Studies, Criminal Justice; Police Science, Military Science, Forensic Investigations and Penology or its equivalent from a recognized institution

OR

• Approved Enforcement Officers Course or Police Training Course or Administration Police Course from a recognized Government institution in Kenya.
• Computer literacy
• Master’s degree in a relevant degree will be an added advantage
• Compliance with the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya
• Terms of Service: Local Contract (3 Years)
