    Assistant Director, Estate Management

    For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have;

    • served for a minimum period of three (3) years at the grade of Principal Estate Management Officer CSG 8;
    • a Bachelors degree in any of the following disciplines: Land Economics, Estate Management, Property Management And Valuation, Facilities Management, Building Economics, Architecture, Rural/Urban Planning, Construction Management, Structural/Civil/Building/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Landscape or equivalent from a recognized university in Kenya;
    • been registered by any of the following bodies; Institution of Surveyors of Kenya, Board of Registration of Architects and Quantity Surveyors, Engineers Registration Board, Physical Planners Registration Board, or any other relevant and recognized professional body; and gained wide experience and demonstrated competence in the organization of Estate Management.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Duties and responsibilities at this level will include:-

    • coordinating and supervising estate management function;
    • implementing policy programmes in areas of property management;
    • coordinating building surveying and project administration;
    • advising on contractual matters and tendering procedures;
    • overseeing feasibility studies, due diligence and property valuation;
    • facilitating the identification of estate for redevelopment;
    • coordinating Environmental Impact Assessments and Audits; and supervising, management and developing staff.
