Assistant Director, Security Services, KNEC Grade 4 (1 Post) at Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC)

Job Specifications

• Initiating the development & enforcement of security policies and standards in line with the operating framework;
• Monitoring and evaluating the implementation of the security strategy in line with policies, processes & procedures to deliver business objectives; 
• Coordinating security audits; 
• Coordinating continuous information gathering and intelligence analysis to develop preventive measures for enhanced security of the Council's assets and operations;
• Initiating training and monitoring outsourced security service providers to meet Council security objectives and enhance performance;
• Initiating preparation of security training programs and carrying out sensitization initiatives to enhance compliance with security standards and policies;
• Ensuring incident response planning and investigation of security violations, contributing to disciplinary and legal matters associated with such violations as necessary;
• Developing an up to date databank of security incidents and trends and reporting for management information and security action;
• Initiating programs and measures to prevent and eliminate encroachment;
• Preparing and monitoring the Divisions budget.

Person Specifications

• At least ten (10) years cumulative relevant work experience, three (3) of which should have served at management level; 
• Masters Degree in Security Management or its equivalent from a recognized institution;
• Bachelors Degree in Security Management or its equivalent from a recognized institution;
• Certificate in security surveillance, intelligence and investigation;
• Certificate in First Aid;
• Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;
• Demonstrated merit in work performance;
• Proficiency in computer application.
