Education

• Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in medicine (MBChB / MMed / MPH) or in a related area is required.
• A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying work experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree.
• Must be Registered with Kenya Medical and Dental Practitioners Board.
• A post-graduate diploma in infectious diseases is desirable. Proficient computer skills, particularly in MS Office software and use of databases, are required.
• Successful completion of both degree and non-degree programs in data analytics, business analytics or data science programs is desirable.

Work Experience

• A minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in the medical field or related area is required.
• At least two (2) years of work experience in Accident and Emergency Unit, or Intensive Care Unit or Aeronautical medicine is desirable. Experience in managing infectious disease is desirable.
• Experience in occupational health and safety at the work place setting is desirable. Experience in Counseling and/or stress management is desirable.
• 1 year or more of experience in data analytics or related area is desirable.

Languages

• English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the post advertised, fluency in oral and written English and Kiswahili or Swahili is required. "NOTE: "fluency equals a rating of "fluent" in all four areas (read, write, speak, understand) and " Knowledge of" equals a rating of " confident" in two of the four areas.
