Board Member Representing Religious Organizations at Uasin Gishu County Government

QUALIFICATIONS,REQUIREMENTS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Terms of Service : 3 Years Renewable Contract Subject to Performance.
• The eligibility for appointment as a Board Member
• Must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
• Must be nominated by a religious organization that is registered.
• Must meet the Leadership and Integrity criteria under the Constitution Chapter 6
• Must meet the Fit and Proper test criteria from WASREB which is Annex 2 of
• WASREB Guideline.
• Must have attended a Corporate Governance Training in a recognized institution.

Duties and Responsibilities

• To provide policy guidelines in the management of the Company.
• To establish and maintain full and effective control over the strategic, financial and operational direction of the Company as well as ensuring compliance to policies and procedures.
• To mobilize resources and lobby for conducive water sector policies and legislation.
• To assess and understand the issues,forces and risks that defines and drives the organization’s core business
• To maximize stakeholder value;
• To ensure the organization acts in a socially responsible manner to foster the sustainability of the organization in its wider Socio-Economic environment
• To ultimately take responsibility for meeting the demand for water service in our respective areas of responsibility and collectively are answerable in law and in wider society for the success or failure of the organisation.
