Job Description

The County Government of Kericho and Kericho Water and Sanitation Services Company Limited (KEWASCO) invites interested persons to serve as members of the board of KEWASCO to represent the following stakeholders: 1) One Representative of Institutions (Schools, Colleges, Research, Universities) active within Kericho County. 2) One representative from Rural consumers (Kapkatet, Litein,Londiani,Sosiot and Kipkelion Water supply schemes) 3) One representative from a Professional body (Engineers,IHRM,CPA and CPS)

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for appointment to the Board, one must be:

• Compliant to the requirements of Chapter Six of the constitution of Kenya 2010 by presenting valid and up to date copies of the following certificates:-
  • Certificate of Good Conduct
  • Clearance Certificate from CRB
  • Clearance Certificate from HELB
  • Tax Compliance Certificate from KRA
  • Clearance Certificate from EACC
• Be a resident of the area served by the Water Company
• Degree in Business Related course ,CPA-Experience in accounting/ finance and must be in good standing at the Institute Of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya and produce testimonials to that effect

OR

• Degree in Engineering –Experience in civil, Agricultural, Mechanical, Environmental, Electrical or water supply systems, must be registered and nominated by their professional body and produce testimonials to that effect.
• Demonstrate experience as a Change Management Agent with acumen in a business or any profession of at least 7 years.
• Must NOT be suppliers or other trading associates of the Company
• Must clearly state the Category he or she is applying for.
• Must attach a letter of nomination by the Stakeholder Group or Institution to which they belong
• Attendance of Corporate Governance training is an added advantage.
