    Brand Manager, HINO

    We are seeking to recruit a qualified, passionate and self-driven candidate to fill the vacant position of Brand Manager, HINO, reporting to the Deputy Managing Director, and based at Popo Road South C Nairobi. The main purpose of the role is to provide leadership in the development and implementation of CFAO Motors HINO business Strategy including product sales, after sales service and Spare parts.

    The key roles and responsibilities include:

    Managerial/Supervisory Responsibilities

    1. Provide leadership in the development and implementation of HINO mid-term and long-term strategy to achieve profitable results of sales, services and parts
    2. Lead the development of comprehensive HINO policies and procedures that provide guidelines in compliance with the manufacture and CFAO Motors Kenya standards in service delivery
    3. Oversee the implementation of proper cost controls to ensure profitability of the HINO division in sales, service and parts
    4. Champion the performance of the divisions through development of proactive training programs, regular feedback and performance appraisals for the HINO team to promote a culture of high performance
    5. Provide leadership in the development and implementation of the HINO budget, to ensure efficient allocation of resources necessary for implementation of HINO strategy, and monitor utilization to ensure efficiency in use of resources that supports the CFAO Motors Kenya objectives on cost management
    6. Develop and lead Hino network expansion strategy to support the growth of Hino sales and Aftersales throughout the country
    7. In conjunction with the Original Equipment Manufacturer, provide suitable product line-up to meet customer demands and market share growth through frequent market study and right- product positioning

    Operational Responsibilities:

    1. Spearhead the design, execution and follow up on events and promotions that give HINO high profile and appropriate positioning to the right market segments
    2. Lead the provision of good quality intelligence to management and HINO motors limited on the customers’ requirements and HINO ability to meet those needs verses competitors
    3. Facilitate effective communication between HINO team and CFAO Motors Kenya management for policy dissemination and feedback
    4. Promote customer visits and surveys in order to understand the customers’ needs and to create a strong partnership with customers that goes beyond immediate business requirements for customer retention.
    5. Supervise the establishment and maintenance of strong partnerships with dealers and support them to ensure dealer achievement of sales and aftersales targets as well as profitable sales and aftersales targets
    6. Provide leadership to the HINO team in competitor analysis, competitor impact to the HINO business, as well as in the development of strategies to enhance HINO market share,
    7. Keep Toyota Tsusho Corporation and HINO Motors Limited regularly appraised on changes in the business environment, opportunities and challenging arising from such changes, the response from HINO and where CFAO Motors Kenya needs support from Toyota Tsusho Corporation /HINO Motors Limited to fully respond to the changes
    8. Overall responsible for promoting a conducive working environment for the HINO team in relation to Environment, Health and safety measures at the workplace and compliance to the ANZEN policy
    9. Carry-out frequent study of Hino units in operations to align Aftersales potential – both Parts and Service
    10. Guide the aftersales teams to ensure high customer retention for business sustainability

     Knowledge, Skills, Experience

     Minimum level of academic and professional qualification required;

    1. Bachelor’s degree in a technical/business related discipline from a recognized institution
    2. 10 years of relevant working experience, with 5 years in a management role in an organisation of similar size and complexity.
