Build Engineer at Crystal Recruit

Responsibilities

• Maintain and Enhance source control system, software configuration management system, continuous integration environment, and build/deployment tools to successfully and efficiently release code to production
• Manage version control and ensure that the most current version of the software includes all of the necessary updates.
• Lead bug fixing and troubleshooting for each software version
• Perform OS build in Windows, Linux, Solaris, and AIX technologies troubleshooting and issue follow-up for the above
• Maintain software documentation for both internal use and for the end user
• Perform root cause investigation to failures in the build process
• Act as a point of knowledge within the team and wider function on the builds available
• Lead small activities projects where more than one build offering is part of the deployment
• Feedback on any issues to the Engineering team
• Design and maintain the build and deployment solutions across several environments for multiple teams
• Provide deployment support during regularly scheduled production deploys
• Day-to-day support of the Development Build process

Requirements;

• At least four (4) years as a Build Engineer.
• Degree in computer science, Computer Science, Software Engineering IT, or related course.
• Must have build automation experience with .Net and .net core
• Extensive programming and coding experience
• Excellent programming skills and mastery of one or more programming languages, including Unix, PowerShell, or Python
• Extensive coding and scripting ability, familiarity with a wide assortment of open-source technology and applications
• Experience in the deployment and testing of new programs.
• Good communication skills both verbal and written.
• Great analytical Skills.
• Must be comfortable working with a large team of developers and programmers.
• Must have reliable internet.
• Must be able to overlap our client's teamwork hours 9 AM-5 PM EST.
