PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To support the identification and translation of market opportunities into actionable recommendations through the provision of useful, accurate, up-to-date quantitative, qualitative intelligence and robust data analytics

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Produce accurate daily, weekly, ad hoc, and monthly operational reports on current business drivers.
2. Assessment of the pre/post-performance of products.
3. Bring technical expertise to ensure the quality and accuracy of business data, then process, design, and present it in ways to help staff, managers, and company make better decisions.
4. Assist in the mining of ad hoc analysis for management consideration.
5. Work with the IT team to perfect any integration into the business intelligence data bank.
6. Support for the definition, implementation, and visualization of all market reporting, dashboards, and consolidation requirements for monitoring market business performance.
7. Support the evaluation of market trends with concrete recommendations for the optimization of the business portfolio and strategy.
8. Support the development of KPIs and dashboards for business measurement to increase efficiency and improve effectiveness.
9. Compile and analyze statistical data using modern and traditional methods to collect it.
10. Collaborate and work closely with cross-functional business partners to identify gaps and gain business insight.

Qualifications

1. A University Degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science or Statistics, Sciences, business
2. Training in accounting will be an added advantage
3. 2-3 years of market/business research analysis experience.
4. Have the ability to interpret large amounts of data and multi-task.
5. Have excellent knowledge of relevant MS Office packages like MS Excel and PowerPoint
6. Have a working knowledge of a common computer based business and systems analysis methodologies and modelling tools.
7. Excellent knowledge of Oracle DB Structured Query Language (SQL) and data mining.
8. Have adequate knowledge of data collection methods (polls, focus groups, surveys, etc.).
9. Strong analytical and critical thinking.
