Position scope
Reporting to the General Manager-TEMEC, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the Business Development, Sales and Marketing of TEMEC’s products and services through relationship building and interaction with clients.
Key Responsibilities
Meeting marketing and sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions;
Preparing action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the number of contacts to be made;
Conducting Market surveys and researching for existing and new business;
Ensuring that products are responsive to the needs of the market by undertaking market intelligence and market research;
Working closely with relevant departments to develop and innovate products that respond to the market;
Managing the day to day work of the Technical Sales Representative, Customer Service Assistant and Logistics Coordinator-Sales and Distribution such as assigning, scheduling, coaching, communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions;
Identifying sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned;
Preparing responses to RFQ (request for quotation), RFP (request for proposals) and RFI (request for information);
Developing and maintaining sales materials and current product knowledge;
Managing account services through quality checks and other follow-up;
Preparing a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up and adherence to goals;
Communicating new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field visits;
Taking part in sales meetings and present reports about the sales and marketing figures;
Participating in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and telemarketing events;
Taking part in customer feedback surveys;
Resolving customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports and making recommendations to management.
