Business Development Officer (BDO) at Avenews

Responsibilities

• Identify, map, and prioritize potential partners across value chains.
• Build and manage a structured pipeline based on commercial viability.
• Conduct due diligence, collect documentation, and prepare partner onboarding dossiers.
• Develop activation plans and support Sales teams in early commercialization.
• Track partner performance, bottlenecks, and business generation.
• Support partner trainings, field events, demos, and activations.
• Provide market intelligence on value-chain trends, competition, pricing, and behavior.
• Collaborate with BD, Sales, Marketing, Customer Ops, and Product teams to ensure seamless partner lifecycle management.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Agribusiness, Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years in business development, partnerships, agribusiness, distribution, or microfinance.
• Strong understanding of value chains and partner ecosystems.
• Experience in due diligence, documentation, and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong analytical ability and commercial acumen.
• Willingness to travel extensively.
