Climate Change & NRM Cross Learning Program at Solidaridad Eastern & Central Africa Expertise Centre (SECAEC)

• The main objective of the Climate Change & NRM function is to support country project teams in ECA to drive change through actionable climate information and innovative practices that positively impact our farmers and workers within our commodity value chains.

Location: Current Country of placement

Expected duration: You will be expected to allocate at least 10-20% of your time for a period of between 6-12 months

Who  will you work with: Directly, the Regional CC & NRM Manager and one other staff

On a given day you can expect to;

• Play a key role in Climate Finance Mapping: Support to carryout continuous up-to-date environmental scan of potential climate finance partners across the ECA countries to inform deliberate profiling, mapping, and onward engagement strategies.
• Champion the importance of climate best practice portfolio & contribute to the build-up of climate innovations: This involves scouting for tools that could be customized to improve our work around climate change, ecosystem and sustainability measurement and spearheading their pilot/rollout in relevant countries.
• Be highly engaged in Climate positioning: This entails supporting the collation and build-up of internal and external content to support Climate Positioning, strategy development and deployment in ECA and identifying and facilitating speaking engagements
• Grow your skill set on research and project design by identifying and developing complimentary opportunities to support existing projects in ECA countries.
