    Consultancy to Develop Knowledge and Learning Products – TGG: ALM 'Ailepu' Project"

    Scope of Work and Deliverables

    The consultant will be responsible for the development of the following products:

    Knowledge Brief / Learning Paper.

    A concise and reflective document capturing:

    • What worked: Successful approaches and innovations (e.g., grassroots women’s groups, targeted dialogues).
    • What didn’t work: Honest reflection on challenges and unmet expectations.
    • Why: Underlying factors for success or unmet expectations/targets.
    • What changed: Behavioral, cultural, or systemic shifts over time.

    Success Stories / Human Interest Stories

    Developmentof emotionally resonant, evidence-based stories that reflect the implementation journey and its impact. These stories will:

    • Showcase real experiences and transformation.
    • Appeal to diverse audiences (community members, policymakers, donors).
    • Be adaptable across multiple platforms (print, digital, audio-visual).

    C) Toolkits and Practical Guides

    Development of clear, actionable guides from key project components, including:

    • Capacity Strengthening of Grassroots Organizations:
    • Mentorship and coaching models.
    • Transitioning from policy to practice and organizational culture change.
    • Establishment and Strengthening of Grassroots Movements & Community Activism:
    • Models for community-led advocacy.
    • Strategies for sustainable community mobilization and FGM/C discourse disruption.

    Expected Deliverables

    • Inception report with methodology and timelines.
    • Drafts of all three knowledge products for review.

    Final polished versions of:

    • 1 Knowledge Brief / Learning Paper.
    • 3–5 Success Stories (narrative + photo guidance, if possible) collated into a booklet.
    • 2 Thematic Toolkits / Practical Guides.
    • Design/layout-ready files for publication (in collaboration with COVAW’s communications team).

    Duration and Level of Effort

    The consultancy is expected to run for 3 weeks from the contract's signing date, with timelines to be agreed upon in the inception phase.

    Qualifications and Experience Required

    • Proven experience in knowledge management, documentation, and storytelling.
    • Background in gender, human rights, or development work (especially FGM/C).
    • Strong writing, editing, and visual storytelling skills.
    • Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality outputs within tight timelines.
