Consultant, Emergency Operations at International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC)

Objectives are as follows:

• Clear Backlog of DREF Reports, ensuring timeliness, quality and accountability of the 
• outstanding and submitted reports in the Region.
• Disseminate Key DREF Changes – focusing on DREF updates & RBM requirements to the 
• DREF (2024-2025)
• Support the implementation of the regional DREF improvement plan

Desired outcomes

Qualification and Experience Requirements

Education:

• Master’s degree in Humanitarian Studies, Disaster Management, International  Development, or related fields for conception or project management.
• Any equivalent certifications on Disaster management.

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in humanitarian emergency operations.
• Proven experience in operations, pooled fund, compliance, and reporting.
• Demonstrated experience in capacity-building initiatives, including designing and 
• delivering training sessions.
• Familiarity with the IFRC and DREF procedures is an advantage
