    Corporate Affairs Manager

    Position scope

    Reporting to the Group Head, Corporate Affairs, the successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing the company’s corporate publicity and providing timely communication on events and issues.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Managing the Group communication and corporate activities i.e. flier artworks and brochures;
    • Managing corporate communication that include executive messages, preparation of presentations, internal memos and conducting meetings to share information;
    • Developing materials and branding for internal and external stakeholders;
    • Developing and distributing materials that may explain or convey the company’s policies or position on issues;
    • Developing material content for online portals and managing the online platform, website intranet, and social media (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Flickr, etc);
    • Reviewing performance of direct reports, coaching and identifying their training needs;
    • Participating in the recruitment of staff within the department;
    • Ensuring quality production of the in-house journals and newsletters;
    • Providing content for internal and external publication;
    • Advising on suitable CSR initiatives and managing the activity;
    • Preparing budgets and ensuring proper control;
    • Facilitating the branding of KTDA and its branches offices and ensuring the costs are within the stipulated budget timelines;
    • Performing any other relevant duties that may be assigned.

    Qualifications/Skills/Experience

    The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications and competencies: –

    •  Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Journalism or any other related field;
    •  Minimum eight (8) years of experience in Communication, Journalism or Public Relations with at least 4 years at the management level;
    •  Member of PRSK;
    •  Must have demonstrated ability to handle departmental budgets, resources, processes, projects and relationships;
    •  Should have thorough knowledge of the relevant industry/sector as well as knowledge of regulatory requirements affecting the relevant sector;
    •  Must have ability to plan, organize, implement and evaluate departmental goals;
    •  Must demonstrate ability to handle multiple and conflicting priorities, and work under strict deadlines;
    •  Should have strong analytical skills and be result oriented;
    •  Must have high standards of integrity and ethical practice;
    •  Must be capable of functioning effectively both as a team player and a team leader;
    •  Must have management and Leadership skills;
    •  Should have problem solving and decision-making abilities;
    •  Should demonstrate ability to identify and respond to risk areas within the department;
    •  Should have effective people management and conflict resolution skills.
