Counsel Legislative Affairs - 2 Posts
- Job Type Full Time
- Qualification BA/BSc/HND
- Experience 3 years
- Location Nairobi
- Job Field Legal and Regulatory
Job Requirement
- Possesses Bachelor of Laws degree from a recognized university.
- Be an Advocate of the High Court of at least three years post admission experience.
- Meets the requirements of Chapter six of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.
- Demonstrates strong communication and reporting skills.
- Possess excellent research skills.
Job Description
- Drafting Bills and subsidiary legislation for introduction to the County Assembly.
- Reviewing of policy documents.
- Participate in the preparation of the County Finance Bill.
- Preparing advisory opinions on the propriety or otherwise of County assembly bills for assent.
- Identifying strategic priority areas that require law reform within the County.
- Prepare Acts of the County Assembly and Subsidiary legislation for publication.
- Any other duty that may be assigned from time to time.
