    Data Analyst (6-month Consultancy Contract)

    Job Purpose:

    The Data Analyst will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and presenting data to support evidence-based decision-making for ongoing programs and research initiatives. The role involves working with various departments, faculty and students to streamline data systems, identify trends, and generate actionable insights.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Collect, clean, and validate data from multiple sources.
    • Analyze datasets using statistical and data visualization tools (e.g., Excel, SPSS, R, Power BI).
    • Generate regular reports, dashboards, and summaries for internal use and stakeholder dissemination.
    • Collaborate with teams to define data requirements and develop efficient data collection tools.
    • Support program evaluations by providing timely and accurate data insights.
    • Maintain data security and confidentiality in line with institutional policies.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Master’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
    • At least three (3) years of relevant experience in data analysis or a similar role.
    • Proficiency in data analysis software and tools.
    • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
    • Experience in academic, research, or NGO environments is an added advantage.
    • Able to work effectively under pressure while maintaining positive relationships with staff, students, and the wider community.
    • A committed born-again evangelical Christian.
