Deputy Director Economic Planning - Deputy Chief Economist at Turkana County Government

Duties and Responsibilities

• A Deputy Chief Economist/ Deputy Chief Statistician/ Deputy Director will assist the Chief Economist/ Chief Statistician/ Director Economic Planning in the day-to-day administration of the Economic Planning Department;
• The officer will be responsible for the general direction of the economic planning function, budget function;
• Production of M&E reports and production of statistical data at county level;
• Perform any other duty assigned from time to time.

Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to the grade of Deputy Chief Economist/ Deputy Chief Statistician, an officer
should have:-

• Served at the level of Principal Economist/ Principal Statistician or other comparable and relevant position in the field of economics, policy research, M&E and statistics in the public sector, for at least three (3) years;
• Be in possession of degree in Economics or Statistics or their equivalent recognized qualifications.
• Demonstrated outstanding professional competence, ability and integrity as reflected in work performance and results;
• Managerial experience necessary for the effective management of staff; and

Terms of Service :( Local Contract. – 3 Years)
