Content Researcher at DGB Group

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Working closely with the writing & audio-visual production team to identify research needs on an ongoing basis.
• Interpreting research specifications and developing a work plan that satisfies requirements
• Conducting desktop research, and using books, journal articles, newspaper sources, questionnaires, surveys, polls and interviews to gather data
• Identifying market trends and briefing the team to inform development of new content.
• Recording findings by taking written notes and using appropriate software
• Establishing a quality database of sources and content that can be cited by the writing team
• Writing proposals and delivering presentations when required
• Identifying topics relevant to the target audience

Requirements

• Fluency in English
• A bachelor’s degree in research or similar
• You are proficient with computers, especially writing programs, such as Google Docs and Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Strong statistical and mathematical aptitude and data modeling skills
• Strong problem-solving skills
• You thrive in a fast-paced environment
• You are a great team player.
• You are a good trainer and communicator, able to enhance the capacity of a team.
• You are ambitious, commercially savvy and proactive
• You have relevant work experience
• You work in a planned and structured way
• You can set targets and take the necessary steps to achieve them
• You have sound understanding of research methodologies
• Proven experience in a research field
• Attention to detail and exceptional written, verbal and telephonic communication skills
• Ability to communicate well in Kiswahili will be an added advantage.
• Experience with Google Suite, Slack and Monday will be an added advantage.
