JOB SUMMARY
The Digital Ecosystem Lead is responsible for designing and executing the commercial and partnership strategy within the designated ecosystem, blending business development, growth, marketing, product innovation, and strategic alliances to drive sustainable value. This role involves identifying and managing key partnerships with startups, tech platforms, financial service providers, and Old Mutual’s lines of business to expand market reach and co-create value. Leveraging market research, data analytics, and emerging trends, the role holder develops innovative business models, optimizes customer acquisition and retention, and drives revenue growth through go-to-market strategies, campaign planning, and customer funnel optimization. With a strong focus on thought leadership and stakeholder engagement, they ensure continuous ecosystem development while mentoring a high-performing growth team. A commercially astute, data-driven, and innovation-focused leader, they translate insights into scalable growth strategies for long-term competitive advantage.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute a high-value ecosystem growth strategy, crafting market-relevant offerings and go-to-market plans to achieve financial and strategic objectives.
- Define and implement innovative business models and operating structures that drive long-term ecosystem success.
- Build strong revenue and investment cases to support ecosystem transformation and financial growth.
- Lead the execution of go-to-market strategies and optimize distribution channels to maximize adoption and penetration.
- Identify, structure, and mobilize high-impact partnerships with tech platforms, financial service providers, and Old Mutual business lines.
- Engage with key industry stakeholders, including regulators and banks, to strengthen ecosystem positioning and drive adoption.
- Design and implement targeted customer engagement, retention, and loyalty programs based on data-driven insights.
- Continuously explore new digital opportunities, industry shifts, and emerging technologies to enhance ecosystem competitiveness.
- Uncover hidden opportunities, simplify ecosystem challenges, and evolve strategies to maximize value for all stakeholders.
- Utilize data analytics and optimization tests to refine customer acquisition, engagement, and retention strategies for sustainable growth.

QUALIFICATIONS

- At least 8 + years of experience in partnerships, business development, or ecosystem management.
- Familiarity with digital transformation in the financial services sector and integration of tech-driven solutions.
