    Director Corporate Services

    Description

    Duties and responsibilities shall entail:

    • Advise the Council and Management on policies, strategies, and matters relating to Corporate Services.
    • Coordinate Human Resource Management and Administration, ICT, and Communication & Advocacy functions.
    • Lead the formulation, implementation, review, and monitoring of Corporate Services policies, procedures, frameworks, and strategies.
    • Coordinate organizational performance management, performance contracting, and staff appraisal processes.
    • Oversee implementation of human resource management and development programmes, including succession planning, talent management, and employee engagement initiatives.
    • Coordinate staff welfare programmes, medical schemes, pension administration, and workplace wellness initiatives.
    • Provide strategic leadership in organizational development, change management, and institutional strengthening programmes.
    • Lead the development and implementation of ICT strategies, digital transformation programmes, and innovation initiatives.
    • Oversee implementation of cyber security frameworks, data protection measures, business continuity plans, and disaster recovery mechanisms.
    • Promote automation of business processes and adoption of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence and digital platforms.
    • Coordinate implementation of Quality Management Systems (QMS), service delivery standards, and productivity improvement initiatives.
    • Oversee implementation of risk management frameworks and audit recommendations within the Directorate.
    • Coordinate staff training, competency development, and capacity-building programmes.
    • Promote effective communication, stakeholder engagement, corporate branding, and advocacy initiatives.
    • Coordinate preparation of Directorate work plans, budgets, procurement plans, and performance reports.
    • Provide leadership, mentorship, coaching, and performance management for staff within the Directorate.

    Education

    • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Public Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Communication, Strategic Management, Organizational Development, or a related field from a recognized institution.
    • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Public Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Communication, Strategic Management, Organizational Development or a related field from a recognized institution.
    • Membership in a relevant professional body and in good standing.
    • Leadership Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution.
    • Proficiency in computer applications.

    More Details on Experience

    The candidate must have:

    • At least twelve (12) years relevant work experience.
    • At least five (5) years' experience in a senior management position.
    • Demonstrated results in work performance.
    • Experience in managing multidisciplinary Corporate Services functions.
